Pollycraft Monday - Card and Matching Tag

Good morning!  It's Monday!  You knew that though right?  You're probably at work like me, but Monday blues can't get me down today.  I'm excited because my sister in law and her husband and sweet baby girl are coming to visit us here in Greece tomorrow!  Yay!  I have lots of housework to do, but it's for a great cause!

Anyone looking for the winner of my 100 follower blog candy giveaway will have to wait a bit longer... I'll be back tonight to post that (once the house is clean and the pantry is stocked).

Thanks so much to all who joined in our sketch challenge at Pollycraft last week!  I promise I will be back around to comment on my share of the entries later tonight (I'm a bit behind this week)!  Our challenge for you today at Pollycraft Monday chosen by the lovely Lynsey is to make a Card and a matching Tag!   Head on over to the challenge blog to check out my teamies' fabulous creations!

Our sponsor this week is the sweet Emma of Crafty Emma's Store and she will be giving the lucky winner a £10 voucher to spend in store.

Here's my card and tag using Celeste Amberglow - Owl Always Love You:

The papers are from Authentique and the seam binding ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  The bling is by Prima and the brad is from Crate Paper.  The sentiment is from Amy R Summer Sentiments.  I coloured both images at the same time with copics (shoes on one, shoes on the other etc...).  I think they turned out pretty similar!

Here's a close-up of Celeste:
And here are the copics I used:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Paper Players: Tic Tac Toe (I chose Square Card, Ribbon and Designer Paper)

That's it from me today!  I hope you can join us this week at Pollycraft!

Guest Designer at CMC!

Hello!  Good evening!  I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend!  I managed to get some colouring done and we also went to see The Avengers in 3D!  It was great!

Recently I won a guest design spot on the CMC Copic Challenge Group.  The challenge is Celebrations and the sponsor is Pixie Cottage.

Here's my card using South End Witch:

The papers are a mixture from October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket.  The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and I cut the stars using my Slice machine.  The sentiment was made with Doodlebug rub ons.

Here's a close-up:

It's such an easy challenge, there's no excuse not to join in!  You have until May 11th to get your cards in!

Rosemary and the Happy Life

Good morning!  Well we are midway through our April Showers challenge at Little Miss Muffet stamps and we have some lovely entries so far!  Just to keep you going until next week, we girls at Little Miss Muffet stamps each have a mid-challenge inspiration card to share, so please head over to the challenge blog to check out all the lovely creations!

I decided to use the lovely Rosemary (whom I don't think I have ever use before!) in her rubber version.

I don't know why I haven't used Rosemary before, she's got such a sweet happy face!  The papers I have used are from October Afternoon and Pink Paisley and the seam binding ribbon and twine are from The Ribbon Girl. The sentiment is s sticker from SRM.  The crystals are by Prima.

Here's a close-up of Rosemary:

Here are the copics I used:

I tried a slightly more orangey red hair combo for Rosemary than my usual red hair this time.  I think I used YR000, YR12, YR07 and E08.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Inky Impressions: Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes

Have a lovely day all!

Copicendium Winner!

Hiya!  Sorry it took me a while to post this post, I didn't have time this morning...  Thanks everyone for your fabulous responses to the question "What do you do with your cards?"  It looks like most people give a few away but end up with stack of them sitting around as well (pretty much the same as me).   I did frame a few of the cards I really like recently though, so I thought I would share the pictures with you...

I got the frames from Ikea for about 6 Euro each and had to modify the back to hang on the hooks I wanted to use on the wall (I just drilled two holes in the back plate and threaded string through).

Here's the whole wall.  I just love this Stick on Peel Off quote I bought online...

Anyway, onto what you have really been waiting for... the winner of the Copicendium Volume 3 copy I am giving away is:

And number 5 is
Carla S. said...
"Thanks for the chance to win, Arabella! Sadly, I have bins and bins of cards I've made. I try to send and donate as many as I can, but I still have loads!"

Congratulations Carla!  Send me an email www.chickiechirps@gmail.com and let me know your postal address and I will send it right out to you!

Have a lovely evening!

Good morning, good morning!  I'm sorry, I'm a little slow this morning for my Tiddly Tuesday post! We have a new challenge this fortnight and it's and easy one!  We would like to see your crafty projects using a Tiddly Inks image to say Thank You!  It's always useful to have a stack of Thank You cards on hand... I find I reach for mine almost as often as birthday cards.

Here's my Thank You card using Wryn - Fairy Friends:

I thinks she's adorable!  Quite a busy card for me though....  The papers are from Pink Paisley (yep, all the same company for once!) and the chipboard flourish is from Make it Crafty. The ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the sentiment is a sticker from SRM.  I have added Stickles and Glossy accents to the mushroom and Spica pen to her wings.

A Pollycraft Sketch!

Good Monday morning people!  It was my turn to choose the challenge theme this week at Pollycraft Monday and I decided to go with a sketch!   Before I show you the sketch though, I just wanted to say thanks for all the lovely entries into Anita's Cute Critters Challenge last week!  There was a lot of super cuteness!  We'll be back soon to announce the winners and top 3!

Here's my sketch for this week (thanks Paula for prettifying it up for me!):

As with our usual sketch challenges, you don't have to stick to the sketch completely... you can embellish as you wish, just make sure we can recognise the sketch in your entry.

The lucky winner of this challenge will receive 10 Pollycraft digis of their choice from the store!  What an awesome prize!

Did you know that our top 3 favourites using a Pollycraft image also win a Pollycraft image of their choice?     And Paula released 12 gorgeous new images last week!  And there's also a promotion running in the store until 29th April!!!

Don't forget to hop over to the Pollycraft Monday blog to check out what my fabulous teamies have done with the sketch!

Here's my card using the adorable Barclay:
The papers are from Simple Stories and Crate Paper and the sentiment is a sticker from SRM.  The bling is from Prima and I have added Stickles to the star on his shirt and Glossy Accents to his eyes and balloon.  Simples!

I have a Copicendium to give away!

Hello!!!  Sorry this has taken me so long to post... yesterday was my husband's birthday and today we were working, so I was a bit too busy to blog.

Anyway, I said earlier in the week that I have a copy of the latest Copicendium by Sammi at Mad for Markers to give away, and here it is!

Here's what Sammi says about it:

Copicendium - volume 3

$6.95

A mini magazine/ ideas book... chocked full of inspiration.
This volume of Copicendium is an A5 booklet (20pages) showcasing projects created using Copic markers with a special focus on Birthday creations.

If you want to win my spare copy of the Copicendium, just leave a comment on this post telling me what you like do with all the cards you make.    You know... do you hoard them, do you send them to people, do you give them away etc...  I really want to know!

I will randomly draw a winner on Wednesday 25th April.

Ciao!

A few of my favourite things...

I was browsing the lovely blog of the lovelier Maria Therese yesterday playing catch up and I came across her Favourite Things post and since I don't have a card to show today, I thought I might do one too!

So here are a few of my favourite things at the moment...

Prima Say it in Crystals (I got my last batch of these HERE)

October Afternoon Cakewalk (I can't wait for this to arrive at Two Peas in a Bucket!)

My Mind's Eye Brads (I get mine HERE)

Seam Binding Ribbon (I get mine HERE)

Good quality Card Blanks and envelopes (I get mine HERE)

Crate Paper Phrase Stickers (I get mine HERE)

Well, that's quite a few without even thinking about it!  I might have to do this every week!  I'll be back on the weekend with a Copicendium to give away.

Ciao!

April Showers at Little Miss Muffet Stamps

Good morning again!  This is my second post for today because it's time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!   This week our challenge theme is April Showers!  How easy is that?!   We are welcoming a new team member today too...  {waves} Hiya Mary J!  Pop on over to the challenge blog and check out all the fabulous creations from the DT.

Now I know I could have used the lovely Paprika for this challenge, but I was feeling a bit contrary and I really wanted to use Cocoa instead as I love colouring her, so I whipped up an umbrella for her to hold.

The papers are from Cosmo Cricket and I found this fabulous sentiment in my stash of new stamps that just arrived from Stamping Bella.  I think it belongs with an Uptown Girl stamp.  The seam binding ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the charm is too I think.  The crystals are from Prima.

Here's a close-up:

And here are the copics I used:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly: A stitch in time (machine stitched with button thread)
Shopping our Stash: April Showers (used the umbrella charm from my stash and sentiment stamp)
Get Hippity with Ippity: Rain or showers

Have a lovely day!

Happy Mail

Good morning!  It's a wet and stormy day here in Athens... not lovely at all.  I hope it's nicer where you are!  I just wanted to pop in and share some happy mail that came for me in the post last week...

I was the super lucky winner of the March TGF release!  Woohoo!  And there's also an Oh Boy Ian in there that I won in a sketch challenge!   Now if I could only find some time to play with them!

Last night I stuck them all into my new folder with EZ Mount dividers... so cool!  Now I just need to trim them when I get time!

A Tiddly Cute Bunny

Good morning!      It's Tuesday again... but not a challenge week this week at Tiddly Inks as our Photo Inspiration challenge still has one more week to run.  Here's a bit of Tiddly Inks inspiration for you anyway:

I made this card quite a while ago and it is actually in the current Mad For Markers Copicendium which is a lovely little mini magazine full of lovely copic coloured inspiration from various people around blogland.  I think I might give away a copy of it later this week.

The papers I have used for this card are from Crate Paper and  Echo Park.  The lovely woodgrain fimo button is from Jane and the sentiment comes with the adorable Wryn - Somebunny Loves You image at Tiddly Inks.  The seam binding ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl.  The card is smaller than my usual at 11cm x 11cm.

Here's a close-up of Wryn:

And here are the copics I used:

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Karen's Doodles: Something Spring
Love to Create: Friends
icopic Challenge #78: Spring colours
